Road to Hana is a 64.37-mile road full of tourist attractions. The beautiful road which is one of the most popular tourist attractions is located on the island of Maui. On the road, you can take a tour by driving, all by yourself. That might be a bit exciting or nerve wrecking depending. When on the road, you can drive around until you see something that interests you, stop and explore the place.
Did you know that the only fight that was fought in the US, in World War ll, was at Pearl Harbor? And took place before the US even joined the war. Pearl Harbor was attacked on December 7, 1941, by Japan. This marked when the US joined the war. You can go and visit Pearl Harbor, it is located on the Island of Oahu (about 6 miles away from Honolulu). But be careful if you’re with kids because all you might hear is “This is BORING!”
When you think of volcanoes, you think of destructive eruption, right? Maybe like Pompeii but the volcanoes in Hawaii are shield volcanoes. This means they are not dangerous, but they still erupt. And the ones in Hawaii, Kilauea and Mauna Loa, are the most active volcanoes in the world. But, again, they are safe enough you can visit them.
Hanalei Pier, this is located on Kauai. If you have never heard of a pier, it is a long platform which leads to a body of water. In this case, the body of water is the Pacific Ocean. Lots of people say that it is very fun to jump off of (it’s about 7 - 8 ft high), but you never know until you try. The pier has many pretty views, this is because it is surrounded by mountains. Sunsets are amazing, there are so many colors and with the mountain, it is so beautiful. Also, you can go to Hanalei Bay, which is connected to the pier.
Manoa Falls Trail located in Oahu is a beautiful waterfall. To get to the falls you have to hike. The trail to the falls is very easy to navigate and the hike isn’t too long or too short. The falls are hidden behind a bamboo forest, and a bonus. You can swim in the falls! The Manoa Falls Trail looks something straight out of Jurassic Park. The Manoa Falls Trail is a definitely a hit with tourists.
300 inches of rain a year is very high. But that is the average amount of rainfall for the Ahupua’a ‘O Kahana State Park. This is one of the wettest lands on the island of Oahu. The main purpose of this park is to educate families about the native Hawaiian culture. Some activities you can do other than hiking is going to the beach, camping, hunting, and fishing.
